I've always been a fan of steady beats that get the blood flowing and can sync with the heartbeat. Builds and drops, something old and something new, and things to suprise the audience are great combos I enjoy using. Let me be honest, I probably won't be playing YMCA, Macho Man, or MJ in the club unless its a private event where it was also a request.
Most of my DJ career I've been playing TOP 40. Playing dance, edm, house, hip-hop, and drum & bass is my true style. My influences include Kaskade, Calvin Harris, Aqua, Don Diablo, Flo Rida, John B, Above & Beyond, Kove, Dexcell, BCee, Sigma, Metrik, John Newman, Axwell, Alesso, and Fedde Le Grand.
